Hey Erling!

If I was out there I'd go with you. Maybe I can round up some of the guys here.

Cool! look forward to see what you guys in Atlanta come up with. We need to figure out an interesting indoor venue to sketch at here in Reykjavik.

Me and Erling met today. Will definitely try to get more people next time.

It was snowing outside so we found some cozy spot inside with a big window.

Taking part in the world wide SketchCrawl for the 2nd time. I met up with my friend Börkur and we set out sketching downtown Reykjavík. We ended up at City Hall on the pond, because it has a cafe with nice big windows. There was a chess tournament going on in the building as well so when the blizzard outside got really bad and the visibility out the window worsened I decided to do a few sketches of the chess players in deep thought. I used a Sketch and Wash graphite pencil with a Flow brush, a brush with a built in water supply. I had never tried the Flow brush before, a pretty neat invention. Had a great time sketching!

You did a fantastic job capturing the cold! I'm getting chilly just looking at these.

Hey guys!

Nice work! Looks like you found a cozy place to work from. I did some sketching with the Atlanta group at an indoor garden center (I'll post up my sketches later once I've scanned them). Borkur, you're really rocking that modbook. Beautiful work. Erling, I like your chess players; seems to me they would be good sketch subjects, since they probably don't move around much. I mostly used a carbon pencil yesterday, but I've got one of those brushes and I used it when I broke out the watercolors briefly. What a great invention!

Terrific sketches, both the landscape and the chess players. Good idea, finding a spot with a big window to sketch from.

Wonderful work - so moody and cold looking. You got very nice effects with the Flow brush.

Börkur- that first sketch is awesome. The lighting and color is great. How great to do a skechcrawl digitally. Love the modbook there.
