The last sketchcrawl in Sydney had a wonderful turnout and was great to sketch with so many people. Let's try and do it again.
Let the suggestions begin !

Re: SYDNEY Australia
Hi
Macquarie Street is a great place to sketch. There are a lot of historic buildings, and even better, some of them have cafes with big market umbrellas. There is a cafe at Hyde Park Barracks, at the Mint, and at Sydney Hospital. Across the road there are seats all along Macquarie Street facing across the street towards the old buildings. Nearby there is a historic church (St James, I think) with seats opposite under a big tree. There are also seats in the shade in Hyde Park with views of St Mary's Cathedral, the Archibald fountain, chess players etc etc.
We went there on Christmas Eve and managed to stay out of the full sun all day. I would suggest we meet at the cafe at Hyde Park Barracks, where you can have morning tea, but at lunchtime it is a proper restaurant. Sydney Hospital cafe seems to have wraps and so forth for lunch, which is more what I'd be interested in. Can't tell you about the Mint cafe as I only saw the sign.

Sydney Sketchcrawlers meet at 10 am at Hyde Park Barracks Cafe Macquarie Street, Sydney City.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... alia&ll=-3
They open at about 9.30. You can go into the Cafe without paying the entrance fee for Hyde Park Barracks.
We can then draw out in Macquarie Street, with its historic buildings or go into Hyde Park.
IF the weather is terrible, I will still be there for anyone who turns up - we can seek cover in some buildings or go into Hyde Park Barracks (entrance fee of $10) to sketch.
There are a number of places around the area for lunch. We can meet up at about 1 pm perhaps to chat and look at our drawings. This worked really well at the last Sketchcrawl, especially a group photo of the sketchcrawlers http://www.flickr.com/photos/borrominib ... otostream/and another group photo of our sketches! http://www.flickr.com/photos/borrominib ... otostream/
The Barracks are located at the north end of Hyde Park in central Sydney.
