Here's my first sketch from today's visit to Volunteer Park!

Was great to see such a wonderful turnout!

Love the sketch Beth! I'll be posting mine soon. In the meantime, here are some pictures from today's fun. We had a great turnout indeed, I counted 23 of us total, some not on the group photo because they had to leave earlier.









Weather was not our friend for today's sketchcrawl but not our enemy either. It was gray and cold, but we didn't have any serious rain that would have completely prevented us from sketching outside.

We went to a beautiful Seattle park known as Volunteer Park. Some people sketched inside the plants conservatory, where there was a great array of flora to draw. After a couple of hours of sketching we met on the observation deck of an old water tower located at the park to pass around the sketchbooks.

A reporter from local NPR station KPLU spend the whole time with us doing a story about SketchCrawl and Urban Sketchers. She had a good time and I believe everyone else did too.
