Is anyone interested in a Sydney sketchcrawl - let's try and get a group together!

Last sketchcrawl two of us met outside the NSW Art Gallery (a wet weather aternative) and walked down to the Botanic Gardens. There is a wide choice of things to sketch - scenery, plants, people.. and a handy cafe too.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please add them to this forum.

Elizabeth from SketchGroup contacted me and is interested in joining in Sketchcrawl. She has suggested some old streets in Balmain....certainly lots of corner pubs in case of rain!

There is a wide choice of things to sketch - scenery, plants, people.. .

We can catch up for lunch and sharing sketches at the Botanic Gardens Cafe around lunch .. Beneath the Restaurant, set among the trees and overlooking the duck pond, is the Gardens Cafe. It offers a casual alternative for breakfast or lunch. Gourmet sandwiches, salads and pastas are available as well as coffee and ice-cream. Open 8.30 am – 4.30 pm daily. The Cafe is wheelchair accessible.


It would be great to have lots of people at thsi fabulous event - invite your interested friends and family along.

Dont be put off by the hot weather. We can decide on the day to go inside the Art Gallery to escape the heat - it will provide inspiration as well as things to draw.
