Hello San Franciscian or is it San Franciscii,

Another great crawl! It was inspirational to see such a variety of styles emerge from everybody. What a nice day in the city, but next time, I'll bring some sunblock. Feelin' a lil tender from the sun. Image

-- dear Jackson, I edited your post, so everyone can really see your pictures and does not have to copy/paste the links to the great sketches (!) you have - there I posted a link underneath, so you may not have an easy posting next time:

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2224#p15843

-- Enrico - good your camera "broke" soon ;) The more of your beautiful sketches we see ;) How about working on a central "ESC" next year? A "EuropeanSketchCrawl" ...

Everyone else: I just woke up by a helicopter, skimming oru neighbourhood at 3:30 am .... .. checking the forums for bad links and reports. Wonderful, to see your artworks around to brighten my night.

wonderful results - what a great variety of people , lines and colour. I am tsometimes empted to jump on a plane come and join one of these large sketchcrawls that you have. They look so much fun. Our Sydney one was also fun, but there were just two of us...
Michael - lovely fluid lines of people and character
Colin - My favourite is the characters at Portsmouth Square and also the strong lines of the one of buildings (at an angle)

Here are some of the card players in Portsmouth Square and one sleeping guy who posed so well I drew him twice.

Jason and I took a lunch at the New Sun Hong Kong on Columbus where the service is slow but the teapots are shiny.

The Italian Festival on Stockton st: the mask seller booth with its giant gold face of David, traditional dancers, onlookers from the balcony, members of the band the Don Giovannis, and the belle of the ball with her mask and cigarette.

See you all next time.

It's always a fun gathering; unfortunately I got a late start, and then ended up getting lost for a while in the city on my way. Didn't get as much drawing in as usual, but it's always great to see people's stuff at the meetup.
