It was a solo crawl for me this time. I sketched around the house while my young kids got going then dropped them off at Grandma's and drive to Market Street at DC Ranch. It was hot and sticky here today but I was in heaver finally having the change to sketch around again.

This mini-mountain is right outside my front door. It used to be the backdrop from my home office until a tree grew in the way.


We have MANY lizards here at our house and these Bearded Dragons are onle a few months old.


I inherited a large tankful of hermit crabs this week. This is a color pallete gone awry:


On to Market Street:


This is a brick-oven pizza place, it smelled awesome but I maintained self-control (barely)

I can't believe how many places are participating now - it is going to take all weekend to look at all of these sketches!! Trying a digital pic of the mountain - my scanner is not wide enough for the moleskine..

What a great use of colours! My favorites are the first 2 landscapes and the cactus one (althoug the animal studies are very good too)... a pity you're missing such a view from your home office!

WOWZERS!!! You are on artistic fire here man!!! What a fabulous collection of sketches!!! I just got back from being away from the heat for 6 weeks...and I hope to join in on the next one with you in November...fingers and toes crossed... I have really missed taking part in these! Again SUPER work!
