Fisherman's Wharf!!!
Since the day falls on a Saturday, we can start at the weekly farmer's market at Pier 1 and crawl our ways to Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39)
The ocean, the Bay Bridge, Farmer's Market, Peet's, Tourists, Restaurants, Seafood, Ice Cream = FUN!!

I am so all for the Italian Festival!!!! How can you go wrong??? "....food booths will be selling sausages and peppers, fried calamari and meatball sandwiches, beer, wine soft drinks and coffee, and Italian-related products...". And it's FREE. I LOVE street festivals!!! I'm there!

How about Civic Center with City Hall, people selling items at the market and enough room to stretch-out? If you ever attended North Beach for this festival, by 1 or 2 pm (depending on the weather) there is no room to move and can be total grid-lock. Maybe this is fun for some? Let's vote and get things going! We only have a week until Sat.

Ok, sorry I am getting on this a little late ...
well there seems to be a decent consensus on the north beach side ... and I think the area offers plenty of alternatives for who might not want to be in the middle of the festival ... (coit tower, chinatown, marina, wonderful streets in every direction here)

So why don't we meet at our usual handy meeting place, above the parking lot on kearny street ... it's called Portsmouth Square. Let's meet at 10:30am.
and then we can make our way down Columbus street toward North Beach

Here's the parking lot on google maps

I'm going to do the kite fest up at marina with at least one other friend - but if we get done in time - when's the end of day meetup?

Dcolivier- What size do you need? I might be able to bring it to the crawl ...

if anyone else among the SF crawlers needs a shirt let me know ... I can bring a few ... I am gonna discount them to $15!

Marc- I think we'll meet at 4:30 at Portsmouth square.
