Phoenix - AZ - USA [Results]

Post by crgcas »

Today was more of a Sketchsprint - inclimate weather and lots of family members to pick up and deliver to many random places today. I did momentarily make it to the Botanical Garden. Here are a few quickies I did on a single sheet. I have a pencil sketch i'll upload later as well. I'll try to spend some time on a rescan & get the color & contrast right later.

The Chihuli exhibit is in full swing there still so there are lots of oddities like my first sketch above - blue glass icebergs floating in a little pnd with cacti and cattails - weird.

Great depicting of Chihuli works in the garden. I like the piece of blue glasses and lovely butterfly. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sketches! I especially am interested in the pot leaning on the branch.

Thanks all,

Yes the pot was pretty interesting. Wish I had captured it better. I had less than an hour to cram these all in and I tried to get the weathered look to the pot color for a good portion of that time. Here is a follow up sketch I did later in the evening of some bearded dragons we have just outside my home office door. They are very affectionate and were holding hands.
