It was great to see you all and your beautiful sketches! Thank you!

Here are my best sketches of the day: the memorial gate to the neighborhood and a lamppost up in the memorial garden.

And finally, here is a dragon who protects the International District:

Here are my sketches. All were done with Micron pens and watercolors in a small Moleskine wc book:

I'm glad I brought a little sketching chair to sit on, because those stone benches in the park were cold!

The gate had much more complexity than this, but I have a short attention span. Done from the comfort of a lunch cafe, over a steaming bowl of seafood noodles. Who says sketchers must suffer for their art?Image

Dragons all over the place. No evil spirits around here, with these guys on guard.

I had a blast hanging out and drawing with the Seattle group. See you all next time (at the zoo!)

Ah, you guys did Seattle proud one more time! Beth, I always love your colors, and your temple gate is just gorgeous. Josh, nice impressions. Tim, the simplicity is what makes sketches so powerful - your temple gate is nice simplicity. Is northwestdrawing a person or an institution? Wow!

Thanks for putting my sketches online for me, Beth. I'll conquer the technology soon....I hope. Great time at the SketchCrawl...and wonderful meeting and seeing the sketches of everyone who was able to come. See you next time!

Hello guys! Wonderful spring time atmosphere that I can feel from your sketches :the color and blossom trees . We also enjoyed sketching from the opposite side of the globe with full blooming cherry tree. :D I like Beth's gate, Josh's man at the table, Tim's dragon and northwestdrawing's 1st and 3rd.

I love the range of sketches, from cartoony to real life studies, from pencil to ink to watercolors. Very nice!

I hope to make the 23rd Sketchcrawl (which would be my first).

Wow, Seattle rocks! Loved sketches and use of color by beth in memorial gate and tower; the simple detail and wonderful color of Tim's rock slope, and the block print-like quality of northwestdrawing's work, and all the others.
