Rhein/Ruhr - Germany (Results)

Post by mondgucker »

The Airport was a nice place for crawling.

Because I post my drawings through Blogger they are a little bit small.
If you want to see them in a larger size take a look at http://mondgucker.blogspot.com/2009/04/sketchcrawl.html.

Hello everybody,

this was my first sketch crawl as a group event. I am looking forward to see the other results. They seemed to be very different from each other. I focussed on the people. Some drew all the buildings and stuff. Also my "style" is rather rough compared the clear linework of ulf k.
All in all it was a very sucessfull day and we had some fun watching the stressed people at the airport.
I hope the image size is okay. Otherwise I will edit my post later.

Greetings from Duisburg,
Florian

Hi there!
I think you choose a very interesting spot to SketchCrawl!!!
Always thought that I should give it a go myself.
Mondgucker: What a nice and cartoony style you have!!!
Florian: Although as you say your style is a bit rough, you've captured the feeling of the poses very nicely (I specially like the man reading)!!!
Thanks for sharing them!

All the best

Shucks folks, I'm late again. But this is actually adding to the whole airport experience, don't you think?

In retrospect, I'm kind of unhappy with my sketches since couldn't find a way to capture all the movement
around me. Who would have thought that people move around so much when they're waiting?

Image
As you can clearly see, the tree didn't move so much. Dead, inanimate objects FTW!

Image
No animals were harmed in the making of this sketch.

Image
I like old people. They don't move much.
If I ever sketch people again, it will be at a retirement home.

Finally something that held still.

What beautiful works everyone done!
mondgucker: I love clean cartoonish style, really nice capture of the atmosphere  Great!
Florian: Your quick stroke also really capture the moments so goodly. The 4th is my favorite.
naTasche: I like the 3rd one very much. Nice ambiance!
maegashira: Very attractive drawings! Lovely tone use!
It is interesting to see a giraffe in the air port.
