Little Italy, 10 January 2009

Post by telrod »

Image
Little Italy has lovely elm trees. Dutch elm disease does not do well in cold climates. Edmonton has the second largest stand of elm trees in North America. (Winnipeg has the largest.) Permanent marker on front of plastic transparency, oil pastel on back, backed by coloured pastel paper.

Hello, telrod - Wonderful! Limited colored skech shows coldness.(1st one)
And drawing on colored pastel paper gives a daytime warmth.( 2nd one)

Thank you, kumi. Since all the drawing and coloring is done on the plastic transparency, this gives me the freedom to chosoe the background color afterwards, which is nice. Terry
