Hi all,
My name is Montalvo, posting from São Paulo, Brazil.
I´m getting some folks together to join you all next January 10th.
Our first Sketchcrawling experience will be in a very nice neighborhood called Vila Madalena, that is somewhat comparable to SoHo in NYC.
It is a cultural and social gathering point for many artists and art lovers, as well as those who just want to have a good time with their friends in the galleries, pubs and restaurants that are all over "Vila Madá", as we like to call it.
We intend to meet at "Genésio" at noon, a traditional restaurant where some illustrators regularly meet, start our Sketchcrawling experience right there, registering the folks, food, cutlery and whatever happens to be in front of us, and go drawing our way on the streets of Vila Madalena, depicting houses, people, parallel universes, etc, and meet again in another bar by the end of the day, the "Filial", which is another meeting point, full of caricatures, illustrations and posters from wall to wall, the perfect place to close our drawing marathon drinking some beer, eating "salgadinhos" (our word for salty snacks), and enjoying each other´s company and sketches.
I´ll let you know if other groups will join us in other Brazilian cities and states, ok?
Can´t wait to join the Sketchcrawl, post our images and see yours, from all over the world!
Congratulations to Enrico Casarosa, first for his supernatural drawing powers and talent, and also for creating such a great gathering event as the Sketchcrawl.
I´m glad and honored to be with you all on this project.
Bye all
Montalvo
