So glad to see the Forum is back up and running! SO sorry you had to take that hit, Enrico!
I think my LGI sketches where lost so I thought I'd post them again!

space and perspective with nearly nothing
BC3 I really like, how you developed the space in your sketches using that much of "nothing" in your (moleskine?)-sketchbook!
well, on the other hand: out there in space, there also isn't that much but space which again creates a lot of space
P.S. ... i peeked along bcthree.blogspot and I already have an indiscret question: did you draw the picturebook-previews by hand and only colored the nice pictures with a computer? (... I just imagine you, using the desktop, dipping it into the green color and filling the blacklines with it ... man, it's way too late, I start talking foolish things ...)

Thanks!
It takes time to draw space, luckily it was a clear day!
As far as my process, on the illustrations in my blog... I tend to sketch with a good ol' fountain pen, to get my ideas out when out and about'. Unfortunately I've concluded I don't like the paper in the moleskins, tough cause I really like using them as sketch books. However I like my fountain pen way more! I think I may try rebuilding the moleskin with my own paper. I seem to remember someone else in this forum doing the same. Back to the illustration samples... All work was done on the Cintque (I've been working on one for over a year now, and it's difficult to not use it). The sketching was done in Alias Sketch Book, which is great once you've set up your templates. And a great way to study other artist drawings, make notes and comparisons. I then import the drawings into Painter, which I am just starting to play with, but the liquid Ink and Digital Water color have been working well for me.
