Birmingham ENGLAND - May 2014 SketchCrawl [RESULTS]

Post by timillustrator »

The next sketchcrawl will be on the 24th April. Start outside Five Ways Railway Station at 11:00; then heading down the Worcester and Birmingham Canal to Gas Street Basin.

After that Birmingham Canal Old Line to Sherborne Wharf. Half way meeting point to be confirmed but will be somewhere around Sherborne Wharf.

Finally we will be making our way back round the canal loop to finish at the Canalside Cafe back in Gas Street Basin at 16:00. They do food and drinks and you can sit outside if the weather is good.

The unbelievably bad weather did rather disrupt the 4th Birmingham Sketchcrawl on Saturday the 24th May. A route round the central Birmingham canal network was severely shortened as it rained almost constantly, mainly torrentially from 10 am until 4pm with two gaps of about 10 minutes each.
We started at Five Ways railway station and as there was some shelter stopped on platform 2 and the footbridge for most of the time. The stationmaster was very supportive and allowed some of us to use the hand dryer in the toilets to dry our watercolours.ImageFive Ways North 24-5-14 by timillustrator, on Flickr
