Random Akasaka / Tokyo Crawl

Post by kumi matsukawa » Fri Jan 11, 2013 10:27 am

After having Random Ginza / Tokyo Crawl http://www.sketchcrawl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10201, soon we had another Sketch Crawl in Akasaka, Tokyo. This time a Canadian sketch friend, Damian joined us.

(Damian)

We gathered in a coffee shop Tully's and after exchanging greetings and having warming up sketching,we spread around and each person found their own subjects to draw. I found this stairway interesting and drew.

Then I drew these ice skating people.

And the view of skating rink. ( This skating rink was there near the Akasaka station, in front of TBS TV station)

Later we gathered again, saw each result and took photos. That was the most interesting part of sketching and sharing, we didn't know how and where they have drawn until this moment...

Then we also kept drawing while having lunch!

After lunch, we went to Hie Shrine. There again, we sketched around there after worship.

Then we went to another coffee shop, and shared our drawings and exchanged our secret of the sketch gear.
I borrowed Damian's pen and drew profile of Tasha. I like his pen

This one was ( again) a short sketch gathering. But we had very fun time.
Thanks for your time everyone, and see you sometime soon.

Such nice work... I am new and am determined to get out of the rut of drawing with hardly no expression. :| I studied art nouveau for so long and still love it, its just Mucha wasn't the best with emotion. :eh:
