Sorry Henry, I got very delayed helping my friends move. But I did end up doing a bit of sketching, albeit back in Davis! I've been trying out a new ink, an India ink without shellac suitable for fountain pens (and great for washes because it doesn't run...)
Hope we can all get together next time, and I hope it's not so hot. Today was brutal.

Very interesting. I especially liked the sketchbook with the flower.
What kind of ink did you use? That sounds like something that others might like to try.
It was hot here in Texas, too.

Thanks, Granny. It seems to be called "Pen and Ink Sketch" and is made by the same company that does a Moleskine ripoff, which I actually prefer (the paper's heavier). The Ink bottle has a vermilion label.

nice sketches.
i have that same ink (and the pen that goes with it), but find that it does run in a wash, though it says it doesn't.
