Sacramento - CA - USA

Post by hanksan »

Oh Yeah, Sketchy Crawly Time! If we all melt in the Summer heat, it will STILL be fun!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on our next destination. I totally missed the last one. Everyone's work was sooooo inspiring. Great job SacTown!

...Capitol Mall?
...Downtown Auburn?
...more of MidTown?
......still not very familiar with the area... =)

Just found this... Might be interesting, but I don't know if it's actually doable for SC19???

Hanksan, that festival looks like fun, very sketchy too! I'll see if we can come across the causeway!

Pica! Great to hear from you. Yes, it will great to sketch with you again!

I'm not sure how that music event is set up, but I would love to draw and enjoy music. I'll need to research it again. Not sure if any of it is free or if it eve starts in the morning. I just Googled events for that day.

Anyway, looking forward to another great day! Still want to do Apple Hill in September, too! I think that's what we talked about before? =)

take care

OK, count me in on this one. I'l be better this time and actually post my work! Downtown Auburn sounds interesting. I'm a bit tired of the same o'l downtown sac. We could look at McKinley park too in East Sac. There is some character over there!

kraz!

OK, we're expecting your great artwork in the forums, now!

So... tired of Downtown Sac-o-tomatoes, eh! McKinley park sounds good though. Any other place in Sac will be very cool. But there are going to be a number of venues for the Fete de la Musique. The music and musicians, etc would be great to capture in drawings! The website isn't very informative with times and places, yet.

I'm still thinkin' the Capitol would be kinda cool. ?? Maybe the gardens?

Any Davis or Woodland places? Just thinkin' of the Davis folks. =)

I'll need to post an email at work to recruit any potential sketchcrawlers...

Hanksan, we did Davis last time. I think it will be fine for us to come to Sac! McKinley Park sounds fine. My only request is that we find somewhere with shade...

Hi ramg28,

Welcome to our little band of Sketchers! ;-}

Nothing set in stone, but McKinley Park is the top pick for now. I don't really know the park very well, so I don't have any ideas for specific sketch spots. I vote for McKinley Park... anyone to second that motion? =)

Henry: we have to help someone move on Saturday -- from near McKinley park to Natomas.

What's your plan, I'll see if we can join you briefly??

Hi Pica,

It's okay that you'll be there for a bit. I'm glad that you can go. I don't think I'll be there very long.

I'm not very familiar with the park, but I know there is a Rose Garden there. How does 11AM at the Rose Garden sound?

Here's a link to the map... http://www.cityofsacramento.org/parksan ... ey_map.htm

11am at the Rose Garden: I'll try to be there!! Have fun! (I drove past it last night, I think it's a good choice... bring water, though, everyone.)
