When I first opened this thread I was wondering where you found penguins in NYC, but of course - the zoo. I especially like your sketches of the kids as they looked at the animals. Terrific sketches!

Central Park Zoo is a perfect place to sketchcrawl! You've got perfect positions on the swimming penguins. Great job on the birds, the monkeys (my fav is the one grooming the other), and the kids standing and watching. Looks like you had a great day. I'll have to try sketching there some time.

Alisa your drawings are very beautiful. The line work is very sensitive. Your paintings are lovely, too; the colours are a nice counterpoint to the black-and-white pencil work.

Alisa, I love all your penguin gestures! Great stuff. The kids are wonderful too. I want to go sketching at the Bronx Zoo soon....Maybe we can get a group to go?

Hi All, sorry to post so late, I've been v. busy.
I hope you don't mind, I threw in a sketch I did while on vacation a few days before the crawl.
**Alisa, I really dig your sketches, you have such fluid lines! Bummer that I couldn't connect with y'all again. Duty called. Next time though!
