Looking forward to the day, still have not figure out where to park :) that will be part of the experience.

Missamelia, have you guys figure out where to park, or will you be taking the Ferry?

I think I'll be driving, but as for parking...ah, I was about to ask you...
Well I am going to try to do some research before I go down there in all the traffic and SF streets. Might have to park a ways off. The ferry would be fun, but it's $18 for a two-way ticket, I think, for each person. Probably parking would be less expensive?

Image

I scanned a little pocket-map of the Ghirardelli Square area because it had a lot of parking garages on it that Google Maps didn't show. I think I'll go with this little map when I drive down tomorrow...
Click the image and it gets bigger! :D

blah blah bah!

FREE PARKING at Crissy Field?

Post by John D »

Isn't there FREE PARKING at Crissy Field? I think so. It's about ten blocks away from where Google maps says Ghirardelli Square is. So, isn't that half a mile?

Is there a CONTACT PHONE so strays can join up? Or do we just take our chances?

There's FREE parking at the lot inside the gates, just West of Van Ness, off Bay. Can't remember the name, but it's where the Youth Hostel is. If that's full, there's also cheap parking in the Fort Mason lot. Both are as close as you can get.
I'm looking forward to my first crawl. See you there.

Thank you for your post Clark, I was able to check the board via my phone when I got to SF, saw your post and was able park right there (next to the beach).
