I could not make it to Kailua Beach today, so I sketched on Sans Souci Beach. The view of Sans Souci Beach is partly real and partly imaginative.
I used oil pen, ink brush pen, Micron pen and watercolor. The mother and daughter were both really beautiful local people. The mother's braid was especially attractive to me.

"Oil pen": Mugitea, what is that? I love your sketches, especially of the braid!

The "oil pen" is actually an oil-based paint marker by SHARPIE. It dries quickly (almost instantly) and gives a rich black line.

Hawaii - what a great place to sketch. Wish I was there! Love the lady and child on the beach.

Beautiful work Mugitea.....love your use of color! Especially enjoy the top sketch, it just screams out "beach" to me.
