Chinatown - Stockton Street

Here are a few of mine from the day. I really loved my first sketchcrawl, I had forgotten how fun drawing on the street was.

That was a really good Skectcrawl, folks. I had a great time being with all of you lovely people. It was just what the doctor ordered. I will scan a few drawings (and I only got a few done really) to post later. Meanwhile check out some pics.

Thanks for the kind comments, you guys. What a variety of nice stuff here.

Storydesign, I like your two-person relationship drawings, no doubt. :)

Lifeartist, that's a cool range of colors you got going in your watercolors. Nice! French roast coffee? Where do you get that? Sounds tasty.

Larry, neat stuff. I like the 6th drawing the most, and look at the stylization of drawing that tree. Eyvind Earle better watch out :!:

Enrico, those are cool gestural kid drawings. Loving the yellow jacket kid and the girl against the post, and all the watercoloring on structures. That's some crazy-colorful looking tea. Maybe I go get some of that french roast coffee in the morning and nanking hot tea later in the day, sometime. :)

Hey Colin, those are some cute dogs. That market corner... it looks a lot like the building across from a so-called Toy Boat Cafe in SF. Probably not it if you were in Chinatown per se, though.

Nice batch of pictures, Ronnie. You got the ladies playing cards too. :) Next time I hope not to be shy to say hi to you in person at least. >_<

ColinAdams: really nice pencil drawings-I especially like the bustlin' street scene--so much going on and you have captured it beautifully.

Danny-love the perspective on the second sketch.

Lovely sketches, Enrico! I particularly like the street scene.
I wish I had gone to the last sketchcrawl, then I would have been able to see you execute those watercolors firsthnad!

Well, you crawlers in SF had quite a group. Must have been fun.

Eduardo, love the lady in the green hat. Thanks for being the first person to comment on my drawings.

Storydesign - you do great people!

Life Artist - you mentioned inability to draw people, but I liked your street musician and the lady reading the paper. I can't draw people either, but I'll bet we both get better with practice.

Larry - excellent sketches - loved the nesting tables and the bowls & cans of tea(?)

Enrico - I guess I have you to thank for inventing Sketchcrawl - I really enjoyed my first one. Love your kids on the playground.

Colin - great bunch of sketches - awesome lamp post.

Oh, Lamplightyear, I almost didn't see your colorful sketches on the 2nd page. Terrific!

Wow, great sketches everyone.

I had a decent day. I hoped to do some environmental stuff, but no luck. My brain or my hand wouldn't cooperate. No colour either. Next time?
