Thanks donnam & Donal!

Ok, here are my small entries into SC16's archives. The Phoenix contingent grew to five for this crawl and we all met up at a park for a few hours to wait for the gardens to open. Once in the gardens we found a few shaded benches from which to sketch but it was unseasonably warm (almost 95F today!). I got to meet some awesome folks today and enjoyed it all immensely.

Figure one is a building on the far end of the little park we began from. Figure Two poorly illustrates a beautiful waterfall on a koi-filled pond and lastly figure three is some odd ink-attempt of a cool tree. I colored it back home so it is at least recognizable but I am not sure where I was going with that one. :?

It was nice to meet everyone – can’t wait for crawl 17!!

My first sketch crawl! I was ill prepared this time but I'll make sure I'll show with the right supplies next time. The Japanese Friendship Garden was great and I feel like heading back there again to do it some justice. These are a mixture of pencil sketches and marker doodles:

I had a great time, enjoyed meeting everyone and am looking forward to the next one! Thanks for pen Craig! Appreciate it! :) Let's see if we can't double the attendance for #17!

sketching was fun 2day, but i didn't really feel in the mood to gp sketch crazy, so i only sketched two things. not my best work, but whatever. The only sucky thing 2day was it was like 95 degrees. does it really have to get that hot in november? Sometimes the weather makes me upset.

Mark- Thanks again, that was a blast. These are amazing. I didn't really see the marker ones while we were there but they are excellent. I could go back again for a better crack at some of the layouts but you did certainly do it justice. I might take a shot at a few of the sculptures from photo for fun.
