Los Angeles SketchCrawl - locations

Postby shihonakaza » Sun Sep 30, 2007 11:19 pm

I'm throwing out some ideas, many suggested for other sketchcrawls:

Bradbury Building + Grand Central Market
The Grove + Farmer's Market
Fisherman's Village in Marina Del Rey
Chinatown
Hollywood Blvd.
Graystone Mansion in Beverly Hills
Getty Villa in Malibu (reservation required)

otherwise, since it's on a Sunday this time, it'll be cool if we can catch a festival/artwalk or something....

Any more word on what the target area is and what time we will be starting our crawl?

Start time is usually 10:30am. Not sure about location yet - I live in Santa Monica, so West L.A. area is more convenient for me. What area is good for everyone?

I'm going to try to make it if we decide on a place to sketch. I might even bring some friends. West L.A. is good for me.

Hi, I will love to come, just need to know the location.

I think "The Grove + Farmer's Market " is great as it always is crowded and lively. But I am open to other places as well.

The Grove and Farmer's Market actually sounds pretty good to me. I think there would be a lot of opportunities for good sketching around there.

Sketchcrawl This Sunday 11/4 at 10:30am

Postby shihonakaza » Thu Nov 01, 2007 8:12 pm

Let's do the L.A. Sketchcrawl at Farmers' Market/The Grove!

Date: Sunday 11/4

Time: 10:30am

Place: Farmer's Market by 3rd and Fairfax

Meeting place: at the clock tower

Parking: free for first 2 hours with validation, $3 for the third hour - make sure that you're parking at Farmer's Market parking lot, NOT the Grove parking area (a multi-story structure). The Grove shops next door opens at 11am, so we can wander over and sketch there, too.

address:
6333 West 3rd Street
Los Angeles, CA 90036

info:
http://www.farmersmarketla.com

Sorry for the short notice - hope to see you there!
