Tucson Results

Postby donnam » Sun May 20, 2007 1:00 am

We had a great day--98 degrees, blue skies and sunshine and 4 new sketchers to our little group--7 of us in all. Here are some photos of the Tucson contingent and drawings to come later.

Getting started:

Sweltering Crawl

Postby ClayMom » Sun May 20, 2007 1:35 am

Wow! My hat's off to you all! It was a gorgeous day, but I couldn't have handled the heat!

You deserves extra applause! Especially you Helen. You go!!!

Hubby and I spent the day getting ready for our Sunday mountain bike ride so I know how warm it got. 98?Still cooler than Phoenix!

Hope you all had a great time and can't wait to see the sketches of your crawl. :D Denise

Here are some of my sketches. Early on, my left brain was in charge--ugh, but finally my right side kicked in, I think. Here are a few of my sketches. Hope you enjoy!

Walked outside Old Town and saw this bldg. Thought you might want to see a pic of what I was sketching--so first the photo and then the sketch

Finally, the last stop at the Tucson Museum of Art. This is part of a painting done by Daniel Gonzalez

That's it for me. More to come from the rest of the group--stay tuned....

Alanna's Results

Postby alanna » Sun May 20, 2007 5:22 pm

I had so much fun on this sketchcrawl! I love that there were so many of us...it makes it so much more fun!!!

I also liked that I raised some money for Emergency, too. I'll be sending in some checks as soon as I get organized to do so.

for some reason my images aren't showing up here.

Your instructions were definitely helpful. Thanks. I spoke to my mother about us possibly going to Phoenix some time for the crawl, and she was excited to be a part of it. The art store shopping is high on my list.
