Honolulu

Post by John »

Don Murphy has invited Sketchcrawl Honolulu to join Murphy's Bar and Grill's annual St. Patrick's Day event!

Murphy will have food tents at the open parking lot on the corner of Nuuanu Ave. and Ala Moana Blvd. The street will also be blocked off starting from 11:00 am. St. Patrick's Day is a dawn/evening event.
We are welcomed to use parts of the parking lot and blocked off street for most of the morning.

We hope to meet at the same parking lot for Sketchcrawl at 10:00am. Murphy has offered to show us some of the area’s cool sights. Aloha Tower is just across the boulevard within view of the harbor and cruise ship. This should be a good one, with the food tents and activities taking place.

Mark Brown’s plein air artist will also be joining us at the same location. Mark wanted to coordinate his plein air group with Sketchcrawl. Wow, 20-25 easels set up along the edge of the Culture and Arts District helping to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

Thanks to Ed of the Culture and Arts District and Don Murphy for their support and help!

Anyone interested in sketching this weekend’s Chinese New Year celebration (year of the Boar) in Chinatown, please post!
