Hi everybody!

Here in Trondheim we had a small sketchcrawl earlier today. We were six participants out in the cold. It was about 4 degrees celsius, (that's 35-40 degrees fahrenheit) and we were freezing. Yet, here in Norway that's actually a warm day now in desember, so I'm not going to complain too much about it...

I must admit, I'm not used to drawing from "real-life", so I ended up with a lot of really crappy sketches, but here are some that I'm quite satisfied with:

This is a fortress that lies right above the city.

A canon, outside the same fortress:

This is me, freezing my fingers off!

A fantasy house:

All the sketchers drew in each other's sketchbooks. Here's mine:

And finaly, the whole group. From left: Tomte, Torgeir, John, Anne, Anders (that's me!) and Siv. The little person "standing on my shoulder isn't one of us...

This was a great day, and I hope to do it again soon. And in the meantime I'm certainly going to train my sketching skills!

hrm - I see what you mean. I think the forum needs a .jpg extension, and since the image host doesn't provide that direct linkage, the forum can't display it. Adding the extension simply breaks the link :(

That said, it looks like a fun group - and some very nice images! Thanks for posting these. :)

Drawings of the day!

It WAS very cold outside!

Drawings we all did.

They played christmasmusic on a cafe we went to, so i made this drawing!

Then I felt for doing a "darker" drawing. Maybe I did this because i i saw "The Maltese Falcon" only a few days befor the scetchcrawl...

We had a great view from where we drawed first.

After some time it got very dark. Here outside the Nidaros Cathedral.

It was a great day, and I think we all would like to do this again!

Very inspired by your courage in the face of such a cold setting. I was sweating playing baseball yesterday ;)

Great work!

Thank you, everyone!
I think we were outdoors for about two hours before we sat down in a cafeteria the rest of the crawl... :-)

But hey, we're vikings, right?

Anders:
great to have your country around here, too - that really is a funny little on your shoulder - and funny pictures coming along with them. By the way: It was a bout 4'Celcsius here, too ;-) though we were kind of really south of you ,-)

Torgeir:
thanks for sharing - haven't seen any of these formats until today
