Huntington?

Post by svahaa »

i couldn't help but toss my hat into the discussion on this one. after reading up on the possibility of a pasadena trip, i had to suggest possibly meeting up at the huntington library in san marino. here's the link for more info:

http://www.huntington.org/

should be perfect weather, and quite the inspirational environment, as well.

just a thought. :D

Huntington is great place.

Keep in mind, though, that entry is 15$ (well worth $) - they close about 5pm or 5:30pm.
Some great 19th century art in the galleries too.

Very cool. Gonna try and make it

Going to try and make it to Pasadena. Hunnington Garden is a great place. I'm cool with the price, but some people might be turned off by it.

location and time

Huntington is indeed a good location. Have to agree ... the cost may be a bit much for some people.

Old town has many cute little corners and side street, plus Norton Simon Musuem is just up the street ... if people are interested, we can walk there. Their admission is very low, and free for students. They have a lovely sculpture garden, great collection of India arts and nice painting collections. Also around city hall area is quite beautiful with lovely architects and churches.

Hey Alina,

I'm excited about sketchcrawl. Thanks for setting this up. Huntington is nice, but I think that Old Town Pasadena would be a more ideal place. My vote is for Pasadena.

see ya there.

Time and Location is set then!

Seen like everyone is cool with old town Pasadena.

Time: 10:30am
Meeting location:
Outside Johnny Rocket Plaza sitting area
Pasadena
52 Hugus Aly
Pasadena, CA 91103

We will wait in the spot of at least 30 mins before we move on, so no rush, drive safe everyone!! It will be a fun day. I don't know how people will recognize the group ... but figure it shouldn't be too hard to spot people sketching and carrying sketchbook around.

How's parking around there?
Is there street parking? Or overpriced lots?

parking

Post by Ice-Cream Monster »

Last time I went to the area, the downtown public parking lot is something 6 dollars max per day (Just check on-line that's the price they mention also) .... and there is some free street parking at the apt. area behind Colorado ...

Here is a parking map:
