Wanted also to remind people that there is a SketchCrawl Flickr group you can join ...

http://www.flickr.com/groups/sketchcrawl/

I've been impressed with Flickr and the "geo tagging" they have added. You can now map precisely where you made a drawing or took a photo.
It could be really neat to have a map for SketchCrawl day ... we could see on the map where all the crawlers sketched around the world ...

So, join in if you can ...

thanks !

Wow, that's a really cool feature

I'm going to have to sign up and familiarize myself with Flickr.

great, to have the photos there,

the only problem for some might be to become a NIPSA (Not In Public Site Area) ... as flickr doesn't want to have drawings or scans of drawings, they 'NIPSA' you, so that your pictures cannot be seen in public group if you are not logged into the system ... did I make myself clear?

No problem if you (viewer) HAVE an account ... ;-)

If enough artist start using it I'm sure they'll open up some features. Content in content and we're bringing eyeballs and subs to them just as much as the photogs.

Geo tagging seems to work for some images ... but not for others ...
I wonder if it's just for PRO flickr users maybe ?

this is what I was hoping to see ...

http://www.flickr.com/groups/sketchcrawl/pool/map

just a lot of photos and drawings from all around the world ...
if you are on Flickr, try and geo tag your photos ...
it's under ORGANIZE ...

thanks

yes, enrico, it seems to really help to have a pro-account,
because then you get what you pay for.
As a non-pro you just would have to follow the tiny rule
of just posting photos and not scans and every wonderful gagdet
as this mapping-one iiis a great one, can be used
nearly without any problem ;-)
