I love the first person perspective on sketch #1 Enrico! A drawing, in a drawing, in a drawing. I had a wonderful time at SCIX in SF; can't wait for the next one.

Some masonry from the Palace of Fine Arts...and a naked sun bathing stud who we had a delightful chat with.

Rest of my pic 1 of 2 is on my blog. Its giant page, in a giant sketchbook, so I edited it out here for conciseness.

Here's my meager offering. Thanks a million to all those who were in my little group of crawlers. Remember Rosie? The pizza slice brigade?

I had a great time with youse guys and hope to actually do that t-shirt someday. You know, " I survived Sketchcrawl 9" And it was fitting that we were hiking up and down them hills that day because it was Earthday. We don't need no stinking cars on Earthday, do we?

I did one of the palace itself but I thought it was too involved. I left it on my blog.

Hey Larry, those sketches are awesome.
You've really captured all that architecture
quite nicely.

Great market sketch by the way.

Here's my quick doodle of you....

Wow, looks like EVERYBODY had a good drawing day. Great posts everyone. Here's what I ended up doing. I chickened out with all of the detail in the amazing architecture of the Palace of Fine Arts, so I just did a sketch of one of those pots and the head of a statue instead.

Okay here is what I got from the day of much Hiking and sketching. Lots of hiking...staight uphill....but I think everyone survived! and the hiking granted us nice views.

this is a tree from the cafe, but its not a coffee tree.

John - Those are great sketches! I like how
everything turned out especially that urn.

Jessica - Nice sketches all around. I really
like that Golden Gate one. Hey, did you sketch
Paul and Katie on that last one? Cool.

Here are mine from the day. I inked them quickly, so that they would show better once scanned.

I had to split at noon, halfway to the palace, but I'm still so glad I came. Great day for drawing. This is as far as I got:

In other news, my drawing students at Expression College have started up their own "student" sketch crawl, patterned loosely after this one. We meet twice every five weeks, in the East Bay, with mostly students from Expression and California College of Arts & Crafts. We'd like to invite anyone else who'd like to come along. Our upcoming dates are April 29th and May 13th, and you can keep posted on further dates at www.bustedpuppet.com. It would be exciting to see you guys there.

And thanks again, Enrico. My students are continually inspired by your work and everyone else at Pixar. You guys rock.

Benjamin, nice drawings. did you add the yellow to the drawings or add that electronically? They are nice either way.
