View from the train heading to Portland from Albany.

some advertising lettering in a display at the Albany train station
These were all done at the Hesse exhibition at the Portland Art Musuem. The first is an engraved gun stock - my apologies to the engraver. The next is a small terracotta sculpture of hunting dogs and a bear. It was about 6-8 inches tall. Then there's a gilded Letter "C". The Sabina was some lettering on a painting. The tall one is of a "table fountain" - gold. The explanation said that wine was poured in the top (in cup on top of Venus' head) where it run down, through her breasts to the next cup held by cupid and on down to a basin below from where it was served. I'll bet the wine didn't have a screw top.

this last one was at the train station on the way back.
It was a great day. I hope more people show up next time, but some may have stayed closer to home and will still post their drawings.
