One of 2 San Diegans

Post by James »

Long day and tired. But I'm posting considering I've been meaning to post since the last sketchcrawl. I wanted to just paint today since I already draw everyday. I'm new to watercolours and I'm loving it.

James, your watercolors are fantastic. I like how you use minimal lines and block in shapes with color. Your inked tree is awesome.

I like the thick, wispy lines of the last photo and your drawing of the tree. It looks so real!

Wow--James...you say you are new to watercolors? I'd be loving it too, if I could do what you have shown here. Bravo, man!

I love your ink work as well. Really nice expressiveness in your characters.
Thanks for sharing!

Really nice colours ... and I am looking forward to seeing your future watercolours, too, if they are about to be as beautiful as your hands and arms on your "figuredrawing-link"!!

Thanks everyone. Had a blast at Sketchcrawl and can't wait to do it again. Next time out I'm gonna try to get more people in the San Diego area to go. The scene down here is pretty limited but there are a few good artists down here that would have fun. Just gotta make some flyers and post them around town.
