SketchCrawl Taiwan ...

Post by Jennifer »

Hello from Taiwan (O_O)/"...
Glad to have the chance to come back to visit my home country, Taiwan,
for two months, and even get to do Sketchcrawl in Taiwan!
It was definitely a good experience to actually spend time sweating away walking around the city ( Hsin Chu ), and observing the place i grew up at .(which i always took for granted... )
here are somesketches i did on the SC day,
not quite describe what Taiwan is like, but it's a start...
gonna try to post more later...

hope you enjoy them..

^_^ J

Jennifer - Those are lovely. I sure enjoy seeing everyone's work and yours is particularly nice. Thank You!

I sometimes think there is nothing so delightful as drawing.

hi,
thanks a lot guys ! (^_^) /"...
I'm still experementing with watercolor,
love the flexibility of color mixing and layering,
but sometimes i get out of control with it...
I did get most of the drawing down, but not much with the tree..
kinda hard for me to catch that organic form of leaves by lines ...
and color layering turned out better than i thought...
hmmm... got to try to do different trees now...

* any good tips of drawing trees from anyone ?

Your watercolor work is great :D I love the way you layout of the first sketch...how it's so light and airy at the top and then how it's heavy and detailed on the bottom. If you want to see more trees, Check out Ronnie del Carmen's palm trees.
