Re: London (UK)

Great ! Is 11.OO or thereabouts ok ? all depending on transport of course thats the time i'll aim for.
Maybe meet by the lock (the metal railings) either side of the lock itself close to the bridge so people can spot us.
See you there .

London (UK)

Hi , So its April 16th ! Thought i'd start the London thread early , to give people enough time . Chatting with Tom and Rebecca on the last crawl thought Regent's Canal would be good . Rebecca has a boat moored along there. Its quite a long stretch so maybe narrow it down. Camden Lock is a busy hub ...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Hi everyone. As Skydave said it was pretty cold sketching outside today . Glad everyone could make it though ,most of us heading off for lunch to thaw out and have a chat before finishing off at the National Gallery , although it was pretty packed it was still manageable to move about and get some s...

Re: London Anyone?

Nearly missed this. My plan is to start at Somerset House . The ice rink is up till next Sun . there are plenty of places to duck into if the weather gets bad, also there are cafes in and around Somerset House itself for lunch. Its about 10/15 mins walk from Waterloo station (across Waterloo Bridge)...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Hello all Yes the closing off of the courtyard and the long queues for the Egyptian exhibit made meeting up really difficult. I got there just after 11.00 queued and stayed on the steps sketching till mid-day. A small group of us then went inside and carried on from there. finishing up in the Africa...

Re: London, UK, crawl anyone?

Think i'll be there around 11.00/11.30 . Maybe start from the South African Landscape garden ? it's centre left as you walk past the main gate .There's a long stone wall/bench that overlooks it . Makes it easier for everyone to find us. Forecast is no rain for Sat as well but cooler then it has been...

Re: London, UK, crawl anyone?

Ok London Crawlers this one's coming up soon, so time to start deciding . We never made it to The British Museum last time , which was Tom's suggestion . So i'm going to put up that as a first option . Plenty of people around again, stationary, which helps . And we've got the option of inside or out...

Re: London, UK

Ok, lets say Covent Garden from 12.00 I suggest we meet outside St Pauls Church Covent Garden (Not the Cathedral) Its a big building with pillars that overlooks the main area for street performers. So if you're unsure or lost ask someone where the street performers are and they should point you in t...
