FREE PARKING at Crissy Field?

Isn't there <b>FREE PARKING</b> at Crissy Field? I think so. It's about ten blocks away from where Google maps says Ghirardelli Square is. So, isn't that half a mile?

Is there a <b>CONTACT PHONE</b> so strays can join up? Or do we just take our chances?

I'm not too familiar with San Francisco but I walked up Fillmore once, stopping at any intersection that looked interesting, sketching whatever I saw. Maybe that's another idea; choose a street; start at one end and sketch your way through all it's neighborhoods. A slice of the city. A cross-section...
