Fascinating work. Looks like you had a wonderful and productive day, althought it was cut short. I'm amazed at Roberto's photo, balancing his materials as he worked.

What an interesting place to work! That dragon on the pole is something else! Very nice work. I'm amazed at some of the detail, especially in the cross hatching. That would take a while.

Re: Bryan/College Station, Texas [Results]

I'm finally getting around to putting my pictures on from Sketch Crawl. I made a big mess with Flickr and wound up deleting a lot of pictures, when all I was trying to do was move them around! Had to practically start over. And then we've had storms so the computer was unplugged for a while. http://...

Sketch Crawl Day results from my day. The hardware store is in ink, and the group eating at Skillet's was ink and watercolor. The cool, strong winds didn't help with the hardware one done outside. Or the one eye, but it was fun.

We had a cloudy, gray day, today, a bit cool to start out with. I didn't find anyone else in downtown Bryan, sketching, so I spent a couple of hours sketching there. Came home for lunch with my family and watched a "Ma And Pa Kettle" movie while I put down some of my impressions of the day...

Re: Bryan/College Station/Brazos Valley of Texas

Here's the plan for tomorrow. In Calvert, meet at Mud Creek Pottery on Main Street, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Spend the day sketching around Calvert, then post your work on here. If you need help, let me know. In Bryan, meet at about 8:30 a.m., at the LaSalle Hotel coffee shop or courtyard. After 10:00...

I've learned that the Ringling Bros. Circus is going to be here on Sketch Crawl Day. The 11th will be the final day for their one ring circus at Reed Arena. That might be a good place to spend a little time, if you like to draw animals, circus performers, and crowds. There are tickets of course, if ...

That time should be fine. People could draw getting ready for Easter, or, if they are traveling, they could draw that experience. I know some may be busy getting ready, but they could take a little time out to draw, I would think.

Saturday was a cold and windy day in Port Lavaca on Lavaca Bay, Calhoun County, Texas. A good day to sit inside the Skillet restaurant to sketch. Ink and watercolor http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3406/3188601743_b51b6117a2.jpg?v=0 There are always hardy souls out fishing. I sat in my car to sketch t...

Murphy's Law was at work for me on Saturday. If it could go wrong, it did. I had planned to meet in downtown Bryan at the LaSalle Hotel, if anyone wanted to get together, then go to the Frame Gallery to register. I don't drive anymore due to Macular Degeneration and cataracts, so I have to depend on...

Re: Bryan/College Station, Calvert, Texas Brazos Valley Area

Here's the plan for Bryan/College Station for tomorrow's Sketch Crawl. Meet about 8:30 a.m. at the LaSalle Hotel. It may be cool and windy tomorrow, so it might be a good idea to meet in the coffee shop. If it isn't too cool out, we could meet in the courtyard. We can decide if there is a group, if ...

Re: The first Crawl of 2009!!!

Looking forward to it. We will be sketching here in Bryan, or this area. Probably downtown. Any Texas Aggies or Blinn students out there who want to join us? I know there are students, profs, teachers, and others who like to draw and who would enjoy this type of activity. Hope we can get a big group...
