Fantastic work, Marty! The fall is such a wonderful time for color, and your images really capture the color of the leaves. Creates great atmosphere...great stuff!

Wow, ZupZup...I remain a big fan of your work. These latest paintings are terrific! The color palette really does invoke feelings of temperature and season. ::sigh:: Just gorgeous.

Cheerios box...LOL! Actually, I prefer Lucky Charms, myself. Of course, the color palette is more restricted--moon yellow, star orange, clover green, and heart pink... Those are great images, and the last one of the Ferry Building just blows me away. Fantastic. Here is a scattering of my imag...

What a great day it was on St. Patrick's day! Good turnout, the campus was gorgeous, and the weather was wonderful. (We're having spring early this year. In two weeks we will be having summer, then by July the temperatures will be in the 140s. Send rain!!!) :o Here are some of my sketches from the d...

Marty, Outstanding drawings, as always. It is fun to see the photographs along with them...your drawings have such life and energy in them. I can imagine how hard it was to draw in the cold. Just looking at those photos makes me want to go put on an extra sweater. Brrrr!! :D

TeresaNord: Nice job with the sketches! Lots of expression from the concertgoers (and music makers). I admire your diligence getting some drawing time in amongst the holiday activities. Keeping a sketchpad with you is a good thing, so you can just do some drawing whenever the mood strikes. That's so...

What a fun day--it was my first time at the SF Zoo. The weather was dry, albeit chilly (I like how the rain held off until right after we all got into the cafeteria--it must be that SketchCrawl factor!) The lion feeding was definitely the coolest thing I have seen in a while. Here are some of my ske...

Absolutely beautiful...I love your style. There is so much depth to the linework and color, which adds a nice richness.

And I thought I was cold in San Francisco--but it was nowhere near 31 degrees. (Did the gouache get slushy?) We Californians are such wimps!

PaintMonster : Thanks for the photos--they captured some really great views, and helped me visualize the area. As for your sketches (it is difficult to call them sketches...more like beautiful, finished paintings I would love to have hanging in my home!), I have always enjoyed your work, and these ...

Just hooked up my new scanner (aka New TOY), so I tested it out by scanning my drawings from yesterday. What a great day, and what a mob we had! It looked pretty impressive; I'll bet the Sausalitoans must have thought they were being invaded. Here are some of my drawings from the day. First ...

Looks like all systems are go--I'll be heading to SF tomorrow for my second SketchCrawl! (Last one was the Alcatraz...I guess I'm only doing the ones that involve ferries :) ). I've tried to make it to other SCs, but something always came up. But this time it looks like my schedule is clear ::knock ...
