Re: Limited Edition Moleskine Sketchbook cost + shipping

I would definitely by one - probably two. Oops, I forgot to say that I would be interested in buying the watercolor style.

Today was a perfect day for a Sketchcrawl at the Desert Botanical Gardens! I was so happy to sketch with new and old friends. I don't have a scanner so I had to take pictures of my sketches with my camera. Here's hoping that I understood the flickr posting directions... Below is a nice bench near th...

I would buy a watercolor sketchbook (more than one) in either size. If we were allowed to change something from the current layout, I would LOVE to have a watercolor that was vertical so that I could do a sketch on two pages and end up with a 7 inch wide sketch in the 5 x 3.5 inch size or a 10 inch ...

They open at 8am. That seems a bit early. Do you want to shoot for 9am? That would give us three hours to sketch before lunching at the garden cafe. What does everyone else think?

I love sketching the Desert Botanical Gardens! I was somehow under the impression that the group had sketched them several times already. If that isn't the case, I would definitely vote for going to DBG. I think the butterfly pavilion will still be up then and it is a heavenly place to be on a March...

Downtown?

Has anyone thought of a great place to sketch? We ended up spending a bunch of money for entrance fees at the zoo. We could go downtown this time to Copper Square. We could draw buildings (the convention center, the big catholic church, heritage square, etc.) We could have lunch at one of the outdoo...

Let's go to a place where the subjects don't move! I know you've done the Japanese Friendship Garden. Have you done Desert Botanical? Is there another cool garden around somewhere? Do any of the local colleges have a good garden? I know Mesa Community College has a rose garden but I don't think it h...

Craig - I'm so glad you got your sketches up. The digital images don't do justice to the beautiful detail in your watercolors. My old scanner won't talk to my new Vista computer so I had to take pictures of my sketches. I'm going to try to post two of them here. *edit - the posting didn't work since...

Coupons

Does everyone have one of the $2 off coupons for the Wildlife World Zoo that they have in the papers and the value mailers? I have extra if someone needs one. If you want to meet me outside the entrance early, maybe 9:45am just say something here in the forum.

I would love to do the World Wildlife Zoo. I think that the lemur island and treehouse would be especially fun to draw.

When should we meet up?
