This is such a great idea!!! I made one from an altoid can & brought it to school. Now my students are all making one for themselves!! Most of them cannot afford quality paints (they are only 14) but they are using student grade & having lots of fun. Windsor newton sells the empty 1/2 pans for water...

Ahhh ! Dec 9th I will be at a graduation for nurse anesthatist (spelling?) at the Roostertail on the Detroit river. I take my moleskin sketchbook & watercolors everywhere with me and people are used to it by now. I think I can get some great sketches there. I still don't have a workable scanner yet,...

Beautiful Darrell! Why do you call it today's doodle? I'd frame it & hang it up. I love the colors & the subject.

watercolor tips

I don't like to sketch in pencil because it makes me want to correct things. Some of them are sooo good and really would be successful if they continue - with their art. They get so discouraged at this age when something doesn't ...

any suggestions? I'm new.

Dear fellow sketchers, I just joined today and I am really excited about the whole idea of a sketchcrawl! I have been teaching art in michigan for 11 years, but I have been drawing since I can remember (mainly on walls with lipstick, crayon, or whatever I could get my hands on). I am passionately in...
