Edmonton, Alberta, Canada [Results]

Three of us---Greg Doherty, Dave Brooks and Terry Elrod (myself)---made it out for a little over an hour despite the weather, which wasn't too bad for Canada this time of year. Here are two drawings I did from a car, both using pen in an open 3 1/2" by 5" Moleskin sketchbook. Drawings by other Edmon...

Re: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Well, the weather forecast for Saturday is now less promising (as of 5 pm Friday):

"Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries in the afternoon. Risk of freezing rain late in the day. High plus 2."

Good day to sketch indoors!

Two of us will meet at The Wild Earth cafe, on 99 Street at 89 Avenue, at 1 pm. I'll be out drawing before and after. Look for...

Re: Dark pictures of artwork.

Note to self -- drawings are mostly WHITE paper, and the exposure level for a digital camera should be adjusted accordingly! Sorry for the darkness of the artwork photos.

And thanks for participating, all.

Re: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada [Results]

Thank you, kumi. Since all the drawing and coloring is done on the plastic transparency, this gives me the freedom to chosoe the background color afterwards, which is nice. Terry

There are many pawn shops in Edmonton. Usury thrives. Permanent marker on front of plastic transparency, oil pastel on back, backed by coloured pastel paper.
