Re: BOLOGNA [results]
Excellent work, Andrea. The light, subtle washes really bring these peices together.

Re: Lansing, Michigan [RESULTS]
Great work. The figure drawings and the animals are both very expressive. I especially like the ostrich.

Excellent work. Very vivid images with smooth, controlled lines. Looking at these has me all fired up to go out and do some ink drawings.

New Orleans, USA [Results]
It was a rainy day in New Orleans and I was on my own in City Park. The first drawing is of a lamp post in front of the New Orleans Museum of Art. The second is not actually a real alligator - it's a sculpture by Elizabeth Shannon called "Camille II" that I drew looking out the window of t...

Re: New Orleans [USA]
I'm very excited to head out for the sketch crawl this weekend and I have high hopes that one or two other people might show up this time. I'll be sitting on the steps in front of the New Orleans Museum of Art at 10:30, doodling away in my sketchbook. A few notes on the location... I think City Park...

New Orleans [USA]
11/20/09 NOTE: weather forecast is for rain and thunderstorms. I'll still be out there even if the weather is lousy, although if it is raining we'll probably just have to go draw inside the museum. Still not a bad way to spend the day. **************************** We've had a couple of false starts ...

Very nice work, I especially like the elephant and the bird (is that an ibis?). You also have my sympathies on the heat - I bailed on the sketch crawl in New Orleans for that very reason.

Re: New Orleans, LA
Thanks a lot for responding, markspencer. I'm sad to say that some other things have come up for me and I won't be able to make it on Saturday. I would encourage you and anyone else from New Orleans to head out without me, as it would be great to see our city represented up here. I'll be there for t...
