Re: Tucson, Arizona USA [results]

Thanks for the kind comments all. I'm trying to figure out why my images don't show up? All I see is IMAGE on some of the links. Oh well. For a more complete view of my sketch day see here: http://kerrierobertsonillustration.blogspot.com/ A fun note: as I was drawing the tiger the Tucson Zoo has, th...

Tucson, Arizona USA [results]

It was a rather cold and rainy day here in Southern Arizona. For the short amount of time it didn't rain, it was actually a very nice day to sketch. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_WQ-bhLFjQzE/SeF_ec1d5RI/AAAAAAAABBc/GUSVYIo8TTM/s512/SketchCrawl22_004.jpg http://lh6.ggpht.com/_WQ-bhLFjQzE/SeF_eRKrvOI/AAAAAAAA...

Re: Tucson - Arizona

It looks like the Reid Park Zoo: http://www.tucsonzoo.org/index.html is more centrally located to the city. Does that sound fine for everyone? They are open from 9 to 4 every day and there is a lot of parking available. Admission Fees $6.00 adults ages 15-61 $4.00 seniors ages 62 and over $2.00 chil...

Conté drawing on sand paper. This is my first time experimenting using white conté for highlights. I usually just let the paper be the highlight, but this paper was rather dark in tone.

Life Drawing

Hello. Out here in Tucson, Arizona I've been attending a life drawing session every few weeks. You get to pay $7 for a three-hour session with a model either nude or clothed. These are a few of my drawings from the latest sessions. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_WQ-bhLFjQzE/SYiPBMC2YEI/AAAAAAAAA1A/L1a1Y21BXg...

Re: Tucson AZ USA [RESULTS]

This was my first SketchCrawl and I just wanted to say thank you for everyone involved. I really loved the tutorial demonstrated by Ms. Thibault and will be trying that technique in the future. I mostly focused on contour drawings around the old Presidio that was renovated in downtown Tucson. I do a...

Re: Tucson AZ USA

Hi, I'd like to attend the next sketch crawl. I was going to suggest the Tucson Botanical Gardens as there are a lot of beautiful things to draw and paint there.
