Re: Sydney, Australia [RESULTS]
Wow! That was a major (re)learning curve. I just setup a new printer and computer and I've had to relearn copy and pasting/scanning/Flickr and even had my Sketchcrawl password reset, but I'm up and running now: The first few are obvious features of Sydney - The Harbour Bridge, Sydney Observatory and...

Re: April 11th it is!!!
Isn't this the Easter weekend? See http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/easter-sunday
Normally this isn't so much of a problem as there is no holiday on the Saturday, but a few people might be taking the weekend off on holidays and hence attendance on Sketchcrawl might be down.

Re: Sydney, Australia
Ahah The Sketch Club seems to feel Cockatoo Island might be the way to go. There are regular ferry rides to the island and plenty of things to sketch - machinery, buildings, city highlights etc.

Sydney, Australia
Is it down to me to start a discussion. Let me just open the map and throw a pencil at it. Darn missed entirely... Again... That's better, darn we've been there. Try again... That's interesting Gladesville Mental Hospital. Nah, that's not so good - no scenic areas to write home about. We could try c...

Re: Sydney - RESULTS
Sorry I'm a little slow. My blog software crashed several times, so I went to watch some tv to calm down. Right where was I... As Alissa said, we had 15 SketchCrawlers at Kirribilli, 10 from a Social Network Sketch Club and five from a Facebook group me and Arutea created. This is why we had...

Re: Sydney - Australia
OK, its all looking good for our SketchCrawl tomorrow. Its looking a bit overcast at the moment but the weather bureau promises Fine Sunny periods tomorrow. See http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN10064.shtml . There will be light easterly winds temperature 17-23 degrees. Good conditions for sketching...

Re: Sydney - Australia
I was sticky-beaking around other sketchcrawl 21 city forums and found Suma in NYC has a blog at Sumacm doing their sketchcrawl in Grand Central Station (so that the brushes don't freeze). Suma comments on each sketch what inks and pencils he uses. In one case he used Photoshop to colorise. Is that ...

Re: Sydney - Australia
Yes I agree, our own Blog is a good idea, and you are not restrained by Moderators like on SketchCrawl. Having a Blog keeps things more personal and archivable. The address of the Melbourne's Blog is SketchCrawl Melbourne Blog So yeah, Arutea I give you the NOD to create it in Blogger. I'm not much ...

Re: Sydney - Australia
OKee Dokey Arutea thanks for the nod. I have created the Sydney SketchCrawl Facebook page . Some parts are stolen from Melbourne's group but that was probably in turn copied from Sketchcrawl San Francisco. They say imitation is the best part of flattery. Post any messages and photos on the wall as r...

Re: Sydney - Australia
This is the Google Map of where I think the meetup point should be: Kirribilli meetup Google Map . Point A is the train station entrance while Point B is Fitzroy Street at Kirribilli just down from Milsons Point Station. I think 10:00 is a good start time and I'll wait there for half an hour, but fe...

Re: Sydney - Australia
I have told members to meat in Fitzroy Street on the Kirribilli side in the tunnel. But I can change this if that doesn't work out (which is very possible). Parking is very hard to find on Saturday morning (both sides of the bridge), so arrive by train, bus or ferry if you can. The Kirribilli Market...
