Re: April 11th it is!!!

Glad to be notified of the upcoming SketchCrawl on April 11. Since I work every other Saturday, I am lucky if the date falls on the free one ... which it did not in January, but does on April 11. I hope we can get a few folks out in Toronto, if the Spring weather co-operates -- or even if it doesn't...

Great work as usual from Japan. Wow. It's a pleasure to look at these drawings/paintings. I like the photographs too.

Great sketches from Milan! Mike, Andrea: you accomplished so many drawings in your day. And they are all beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Congratulations !!!

Enrico, we owe you a huge thank you for the SketchCrawl idea and website. It is an inspiring thing, a force for unity and cohesion in a fragmented and fractious time. By initiating this, you have made the world a better place for us all -- and that is a huge contribution. In Toronto, I continue to s...

Toronto, Canada [RESULTS]

The downtown Toronto group (Nicola, Patti, Elaine, Robert) met up with Bobby Chiu and the Sheridan students, and Lizabeth, at the gates of Metro Toronto Zoo just after noon. We stayed till closing time at 4:30. It was a great day of drawing and observing. Thanks again Bobby for arranging the special...

Re: Toronto Ontario CANADA -- anyone up for a crawl?

Hello all, There are now 5 planning to come from our downtown Toronto life-drawing group. Liz, are we still meeting at the gates at 12:15? That is the time I am aiming for. Are the people from Sheridan coming at that time too? Bobby, we will be saying that we are with the Sheridan group in order to ...

Re: Toronto Ontario CANADA -- anyone up for a crawl?

Bobby,

Thank you so much! For those of us who are coming from downtown Toronto, the trip itself will be expensive, and having a break on zoo admission is just terrific. This is definitely going to be the best Toronto SketchCrawl so far!

Re: Toronto Ontario CANADA -- anyone up for a crawl?

Hi Liz, 12 or 12:30 sounds OK to me. It's good that you've managed to get a few people interested. I'm a bit discouraged about the response from my own contacts last time, but I'm going to try again. I'll be out of town without a computer the week of Sept. 21-29 and have suspended the life drawing s...

Re: Toronto Ontario CANADA -- anyone up for a crawl?

Hi Liz, I think the zoo is a totally awesome suggestion. Let's do it! Start time might have to be a little later than earlier, to allow for us downtowners to get out there. But I'm game for it. Haven't yet emailed my personal list, so I don't know if it will be just me, or there will be others. Nicola

Toronto Ontario CANADA -- anyone up for a crawl?

Good news that the next Crawl date has been set. October 25 in Toronto ... the weather could be iffy for a totally outside location. But then again, if the folks in Sweden can do it outside in March (they are a total inspiration), then I guess we can call forth a little Canadian ruggedness and do it...

Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]

This time and last time, your sketches and photos are so interesting! I went back to look at them quite a few times. You have a really good group there, all the sketches are very accomplished and individual, and then the photos make such a good complement to them. When I see all these sketches and p...

Beautiful sketches, Paint Monster! You take that long skinny page and really make it work for you. Very inspiring! Good to see all the photos of the group, too.

Joan, I love your sketches of the carousel animals, and the subtle watercolours you used. I also like very much the elk grouping in the pond -- beautiful composition.
