Re: Seattle, WA - USA

I like drawing in the zoo when the weather's nice, but in bad weather, a lot of the animals tend to hang out in their shelters. My vote would be to do the international district this next time, and the zoo the next time. That said, Woodland Park is big enough, I doubt it'll be hard to find animals o...

Re: Seattle - Results

Xiaoxuan, The problem is that those are links to the page that the image is on, rather than to the image itself. I'm not sure Picasa lets you link the images directly, the way flickr does. I just went to http://picasaweb.google.com/lindyblues.seattle/SketchCrawl#5291044785200430754 From there, I was...

Re: Whistler BC Canada [results]

Woo, Whistler! Wish I was there! :)

Nice warm sketch for a cold place! I've spent many a day in those purple chairs across the country :)

Re: Seattle

I spend a lot of time down at the Market Theater, but rarely take the time to stop and sketch there! :) I hope to make it this time! If you have a stool, I'd recommend bringing it, as sitting space is hard to come by at the Market and its sidewalks. For weekend trips, I'm a fan of the bus (and of Ga...

Re: Seattle - Washington - USA

I did one sketch there, but there are a lot more to do, so I'm totally in favor of Fremont! Especially with all the parade stuff that usually goes on there. We may be drawing standing up, though :)

Seattle - Washington - USA

Edit: Looks like we'll be meeting in Fremont, Saturday June 21st, 2008. I'll post more details when we decide about where we'll meet! Old Message: For now, this is just a placeholder so that newcomers know that we'll do a Seattle SketchCrawl, and that we'd love to have them come! Once we decide on ...

Had a great time Saturday! I'm blown away by both Gabi and Tim's sketches, and am slightly embarrassed posting mine up, but I learned a lot Saturday, and am looking forward to next time! :) Tim, I really like the bottle--glad you posted it since I didn't get to see it Saturday! And Gabi, I love the ...

We'll still meet at noon, if that's alright, just to avoid confusion. We'll probably wait around for a bit to catch stragglers, but if anyone doesn't see us, you can call my cell phone, listed in the first post! BTW: I'm going to skip the figure drawing session, as I'll be up late tonight, but will ...

I was definitely not sold on the aquarium, and now that its spring, there's a better chance of not being pounded by rain, so the sculpture park sounds like a great idea :) Glad to hear you're joining us, Gabi!

Seattle - WA - USA

UPDATE: We're going to meet Saturday, the 29th, at noon, at the Olympic Sculpture Park . We'll meet at the Calder's Eagle (the big orange-red sculpture), or if it's raining, at the Paccar Pavillion (and will decide where to go from there). If you're late, my cell is two-oh-six, three-five-five, nin...
