We may be small, but damnit, I'm determined to get one going here in Eastern Oregon.

Hi Carol! Beautiful sketches! Thanks so much for meeting up with me in Portland. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing a little caffiene-injected sketch at the very cool Powell's bookstore cafe. thanks e....ps. i stand corrected on my nerd music trivia. "let it rip" is actually "let it whip" by the DAZZ band ( a conjunction of jazz and disco, btw) consisting of former members of the GAP band...oh, my bad.

...always gets me inspired--the king of social satire. I also really, really like Rembrandt's ink landcapes. They were done swiftly but with complete confidence. Lastly, there's a master painter from China named Qi Baishi. His stuff always gets me going.

Hey Ms. P and All, Nice to see your sketches up here. Everyone's stuff looks great. Love the wobbly milk crate and the person in shade under the ledge. I wish I could've been in town to drawl. Maybe it'll inspire me to finally visit Alcatraz after living in SF for 30 something years...
