Thank you :)

I didn't know what 'croquis' meant so I did a search and found a website of an illustrator (Le Blog de Nicolin). Is that your site? It's great!

Paris results

I was on vacation in the beautiful city of Paris on the day of the sketchcrawl. It was hard to actually sit myself down and draw for a while because I was just too captivated by the sights! So much to see! However, I did manage to control myself ;) I posted my drawings on my blog at http://www.super...

Paris

I will be in Paris that day. And what a great day too-- all the museums are free! Is anyone doing a sketchcrawl in Paris?

I like the thick, wispy lines of the last photo and your drawing of the tree. It looks so real!

I like your cartoons. They really have a 60s/Fantsastic Plastic Machine look to them :)

There's a lot of 'atmosphere' in your drawings. Especially the first 2. I really like your first portrait.

Toronto, Canada

Well, I didn't end up getting my podcast done. So I'll scrap that idea for a future sketchcrawl. Maybe next summer when the weather's warmer. We had 3 people and only 1 drawing :) Anyhoo, here's mine . Not too exciting but it was a little chilly. Please, please, please, please, please forgive me on ...

do oil pastels expire?

I know this is a strange question but I noticed that the oil pastels I bought a little over 2 years ago seem to be dry and flakey when I use them. Is there a length of time during which they should be used?

Is there any way I can revive these ones?

What great drawings! I love them. Especially that angry cat (is it a cat?) that you have in your avatar as well. Looks like Sketchcrawl #4 covered a wide variety of styles and countries!

Thanks for the praise. I wasn't completely in the drawing mood but I told myself that I should at least get one drawing made! :)

Great work, Paintmonster! I love how you made everything a cartoon. That is what I was planning with mine but never had a chance to. Maybe th enext Sketch Crawl.

Manomecchi, your drawing looks very nice-- very atmospheric. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your drawings.

I like the graffitti one. So minimal yet you know exactly what it is. Great technique. I wish I drew it! :)

I love all three groups. Each has its own unique character-- not just style, but character. Does that make any sense? :)
