I can't think of any food places off the top of my head that are nearby that we could walk to. it will probably be best to bring a lunch. also, from travel town to the observatory, is a very long walk. maybe after travel town and lunch we could caravan to the greek theater to walk to the observatory...

i was able to check out the griffith park area this weekend. the observatory is AMAZING! i took the shuttle up and reached the top of the hill EXACTLY at sunset, it was as beautiful as a hazy, smoggy hollywood sunset could be. they stay open till 10pm, and they let you look through the big telescope...

Are these plans still up in the air? I've never been to Olvera St before, so I'm interested going there. I also think traveling by metro is a smart idea, we could go anywhere!
