Re: What Makes a Successful SketchCrawl?

I have organized a few local ones, some with two-three people and others by myself. Eventually once you get going, it doesn't matter if its only you.. because you get so caught up on the day/moment and the process (even in larger groups sometimes people go solo), and at the end of the day you still...

Re: Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Weather is windy at the moment. A cold front is moving in. The rain seems to have been pushed off until Sunday, though. That's great news. Temps will be in the high 30s, so I suppose we should bundle up and wear gloves with cut off finger tips. :!: We'll meet on the south east corner of the barn/mai...

Re: What Makes a Successful SketchCrawl?

Disappointing that I didn't get any feedback. I'm sure there was a lot I could have learned from the experience of others. I'll just make do.

Re: Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Let's meet at noon. I'll post a pic of the meeting place before Saturday.

However, it's looking like 30% chance of showers in the 40s. I'm going to be thinking of a plan B. Any suggestions?

What Makes a Successful SketchCrawl?

I'm going to be doing my first SketchCrawl this Saturday here in Salt Lake City, Utah. So far it looks like I'll be on my own. I'm planning on starting at 1pm. I'm assuming we just meet, mingle, and meander? Or is there more to it than that? How long do SketchCrawls typically last? If a few people c...

Re: Salt Lake City, UT, USA

I've decided to go to Wheeler Farm. It's got animals, scenery, old buildings, and derelicts in the back, plus it's free. I'll post a meetup time as we approach the day.

Salt Lake City, UT, USA

I keep telling myself I want to participate, but never do. I've lurked for years.

On November 21st 2004 it's time to take the plunge.

I'm thinking Hogle Zoo or Red Butte Gardens.

Salt Lake City Sketchcrawl

Haven't been on a sketchcrawl before. I'm not sure this Sunday is good for me to start (Saturday would have been better). Anyone in Salt Lake interested in a limited sketchcrawl in the afternoon on the 4th? Any ideas where we could draw?

This is all very vague I must say. I agree. I guess the original poster is too busy sketching to let us know where he's doing it. Turns out I couldn't get away to do it today anyway. Don't let that stop you, though. You just go out and sketch something then post it here, I guess. I don't know. As y...

Where in SLC did you plan on doing this? I'm in Midvale. I don't know yet if I can get away for this, but I'd like to know details. And how long, too? Never done this before, but I guess that makes two of us. :)
