Re: Phoenix, AZ USA - [Results]

Great sketches everyone! And Aurora, I really like your added color. :-)

The museum was fun, it gave me a lot of ideas. Looking forward to the next one,

I didn't get as many done as I would have liked, but here are a few at least. :-)

No pens, wow, they are a tough crowd! Pencil is ok with me though.

Re: Phoenix, AZ USA - [Results]

Great photos Craig, I'm going to save the one of John. :-) Seeing you do watercolors at Sketchcrawl is one of the reasons I started trying it out, you do such nice things with it!

Mossgate, I can't see the photo, the page says it's private. Is it just me?

Re: Phoenix, AZ USA - [Results]

I had a great time, even though it was shorter than we expected. Here's my "alien snail cactus" painting from the garden, plus another attempt at a Japanese style tree that I did at home this afternoon. I'm still working on the tree technique. Annie http://www.vanannies.com/van_upload/UP00...

Re: Phoenix, AX - USA

I'll vote for either the Botanical Garden or the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch (http://www.riparianinstitute.org/about.cfm). The last time I was there it was really nice, and I'm pretty sure it's still free. There are shade trees. :-)

Re: Phoenix, AX - USA

I'm not thrilled about the potential crowds either. If you guys want a different location just let me know and I'll pass the word. I do invite everyone to this forum, but so far they haven't participated much. I think most people just want to be told when and where, and then they decide if they'll g...

Re: Phoenix, AX - USA

I think they just mean you have to pay the higher price.

My group will probably still have to go there because I've been advertising it to other people. The instrument museum could be really good for the next one though because that'll definitely have to be indoors!

Re: Phoenix, AX - USA

Here's the news from the garden about Saturday:

"The Garden opens from 10:30am and Festival will start from 11:00am.
We are only open for the festival guests on April 16 and not available for general admission."

What do you guys wants to do?

Re: Phoenix, AX - USA

The garden is hosting a music festival on the same day. It wasn't on the calendar when I checked before, but it's there now. I think we can still go, but the cost is higher:
